Backup – Storage ADMINISTRATOR 

Key responsibilities:

·         providing  technical support and administration for the NetBackup & other storage enterprise environments – SAN/NAS/TSM etc.

·         investigation and resolution of backup and restore trouble tickets.

·         creation and support of change requests that impact backups, backup software configuration changes, backup software upgrades and client migrations

·         restore support and backup domain health checks

·         Cooperation with backup monitoring team, system administrators, DBAs

Key skills required:

·         Knowledge of backup storage environment, technologies: Symantec Netbackup,  IBM TSM software, SAN/NAS

·          Understanding of open system backup implementation

·          Experience with tape silo technology

·         Working knowledge of trouble ticket and change processes.

·          Strong problem solving/analytical skills and interpersonal & communication skills.

·         Very good level of English

·         Willingness to work shifts or 24X7 on-call support

·         Strong experience in : Sun Solaris, HP-UX, IBM AIX, Linux, and Windows (networking, device management, services, etc.).

·         Understanding of storage hardware and de-duplication appliances would be a benefit

·         Working knowledge of UNIX shell scripting &/or Perl scripting.

·         VMware experience is a benefit to have
